About Me

I’ve always wanted to be a writer. But along the way, I’ve done a few other things. I sold chickens and pygmy goats. I watched over a death slide. I worked in a bar. I opened a wine shop, closed it down, and sold the stock out of the back of my car.

Eventually, it felt time to get a real job, so I pursued the only thing I’ve ever continuously loved - books - and become an editor. I worked at Penguin Random House and Hachette, from intern to assistant to Editorial Director, working with numerous bestselling novelists. Then I quit because you can’t do the same thing forever.

I went freelance, and started writing on the side. I’m now a full-time novelist, though I still occasionally edit from time to time. I live in Bristol with my fiancé and two dogs.
